Why should you use anti-embolism socks?
Anti-embolism socks, classified under varicose socks, reduce the risk of blood clot formation in your legs during hospital stays. If your doctor believes you are at risk of blood clots, these socks are prescribed as a preventive measure.
Anyone can develop blood clots, but the risk is much higher for hospitalized patients. When you are immobile for extended periods, your leg muscles are inactive, resulting in reduced blood flow and a higher chance for clots to form.
Taskin Teb anti-embolism socks improve blood circulation in your leg veins and help prevent blood clots. Therefore, you should use them throughout your entire hospitalization period.
How to Use:
- Do not roll the socks down your leg.
- Make sure the socks do not twist or slide down.
- Take proper care to ensure their longevity.
- Never apply pain-relief ointments or creams before wearing, as they damage the socks’ elasticity.
- Wash the socks every three days; use another pair while one is being washed. Usually, two pairs are recommended.
- Regular washing increases lifespan, as body sweat damages fibers.
- Wash with lukewarm water.
- Machine washing is possible, but do not use bleach.
- Find your size by measuring foot length, thigh circumference, and calf circumference.
- After removing, do not roll the socks—lay them flat and fold them back to the original shape.
For easier wearing, turn the sock inside out to the heel, place the foot in (like a shoe), then pull the leg section up.
Follow the illustrated steps for maximum comfort while wearing.
Caution: Ensure the correct size is chosen; improper size will reduce effectiveness.
Note: Before wearing Taskin Teb anti-embolism socks, never use warming ointments or creams.
